Our College is an extraordinary place where men and women are equipped to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to today’s Australia and the world. I am convinced that the blend of learning and community life at Moore is ideal preparation for the opportunities and challenges of being Christ’s ambassador in the twenty-first century. I hope you will consider joining us in this community of Christian living and learning and make your own contribution to it.
For more than 150 years, Moore College has been preparing men and women for a life-time of Christian ministry in which they will teach the Bible faithfully in the context of genuine, loving personal relationships.
Our great concern remains that men and women in Sydney and around the world might hear of the forgiveness of sins that can only be found in Jesus Christ and grow to maturity in that new life which he grants to those who come to him.
We take on MTS Apprentices every year. MTS (Ministry Training Strategy) is an Australian movement that seeks to raise up future generations of exciting gospel workers by inviting them to do hands-on ministry with a trainer for 2 years before going onto full-time theological education.
Our vision 2022 is to encourage young Christians to seriously consider a life-time of paid full-time ministry. If you are interested in talking about and preparing for ministry training, come and talk to Paul KING our Equip Pastor.
We exist to serve people in need in our community, enrich lives and share the love of Jesus.
We hold true to our Christian motivation while responding to meet the changing needs of our community.
We seek to promote and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ as we love and serve those who are ageing, vulnerable or marginalised; respecting and valuing every person as made in the image of the living God.
We offer life-enriching care and compassion for each person, meeting material, physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
In partnership with parishes and others, we provide a range of services that promotes dignity, safety, participation and wellbeing for people in their relationships, homes and communities.
The Church Missionary Society of Australia (CMS) is a fellowship of Christian people and churches committed to global mission. We work with churches to set apart long-term workers who cross cultures to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The CMS fellowship is made up of six state branches and the federal office, CMS Australia (CMS-A). The branches raise up missionaries and support, while CMS-A works for and on behalf of the branches to train cross-cultural workers, place them with international partners and provide pastoral care for them while on location. CMS-A supports over 200 missionaries in over 40 locations around the world. It also provides some services for the branch offices, including finance and communications.
CMS-A operates from two locations: its training centre, St Andrew’s Hall, in Parkville, Victoria and an office adjacent to the CMS NSW & ACT Branch in the Sydney CBD.
We encourage people to get involved in cross-cultural mission by contacting their local branch.
