PSALM 103:1-5

1. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And all that is within me, bless His holy name. 2. Bless the LORD, O my soul, And forget none of His benefits; 3. Who pardons all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases; 4. Who redeems your life from the pit, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and compassion; 5. Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle. 6. The LORD performs righteous deeds And judgments for all who are oppressed. 7. He made known His ways to Moses, His acts to the sons of Israel. 8. The LORD is compassionate and gracious, Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness. 9. He will not always strive with us, Nor will He keep His anger forever. 10. He has not dealt with us according to our sins, Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. 11. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear Him. 12. As far as the east is from the west, So far has He removed our transgressions from us. 13. Just as a father has compassion on his children, So the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him. 14. For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust. 15. As for man, his days are like grass; As a flower of the field, so he flourishes. 16. When the wind has passed over it, it is no more, And its place acknowledges it no longer. 17. But the lovingkindness of the LORD is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him, And His righteousness to children's children, 18. To those who keep His covenant And remember His precepts to do them. 19. The LORD has established His throne in the heavens, And His sovereignty rules over all. 20. Bless the LORD, you His angels, Mighty in strength, who perform His word, Obeying the voice of His word! 21. Bless the LORD, all you His hosts, You who serve Him, doing His will. 22. Bless the LORD, all you works of His, In all places of His dominion; Bless the LORD, O my soul!

COLOSSIANS 3:12-17

12. So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; 13. bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, whoever has a complaint against anyone; just as the Lord forgave you, so also should you. 14. Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. 15. Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body; and be thankful. 16. Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God. 17. Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

1 TIMOTHY 6:1-16

1. All who are under the yoke as slaves are to regard their own masters as worthy of all honor so that the name of God and our doctrine will not be spoken against. 2. Those who have believers as their masters must not be disrespectful to them because they are brethren, but must serve them all the more, because those who partake of the benefit are believers and beloved. Teach and preach these principles. 3. If anyone advocates a different doctrine and does not agree with sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and with the doctrine conforming to godliness, 4. he is conceited and understands nothing; but he has a morbid interest in controversial questions and disputes about words, out of which arise envy, strife, abusive language, evil suspicions, 5. and constant friction between men of depraved mind and deprived of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. 6. But godliness actually is a means of great gain when accompanied by contentment. 7. For we have brought nothing into the world, so we cannot take anything out of it either. 8. If we have food and covering, with these we shall be content. 9. But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. 10. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. 11. But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance and gentleness. 12. Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13. I charge you in the presence of God, who gives life to all things, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the good confession before Pontius Pilate, 14. that you keep the commandment without stain or reproach until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15. which He will bring about at the proper time--He who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16. who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see. To Him be honor and eternal dominion! Amen.

DEUTERONOMY 8:11-20

11. ``Beware that you do not forget the LORD your God by not keeping His commandments and His ordinances and His statutes which I am commanding you today; 12. otherwise, when you have eaten and are satisfied, and have built good houses and lived in them, 13. and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and gold multiply, and all that you have multiplies, 14. then your heart will become proud and you will forget the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. 15. ``He led you through the great and terrible wilderness, with its fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; He brought water for you out of the rock of flint. 16. ``In the wilderness He fed you manna which your fathers did not know, that He might humble you and that He might test you, to do good for you in the end. 17. ``Otherwise, you may say in your heart, `My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.' 18. ``But you shall remember the LORD your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore to your fathers, as it is this day. 19. ``It shall come about if you ever forget the LORD your God and go after other gods and serve them and worship them, I testify against you today that you will surely perish. 20. ``Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.

REVELATION 9:13-21

13. Then the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14. one saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, ``Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." 15. And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, so that they would kill a third of mankind. 16. The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. 17. And this is how I saw in the vision the horses and those who sat on them: the riders had breastplates the color of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone; and the heads of the horses are like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceed fire and smoke and brimstone. 18. A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which proceeded out of their mouths. 19. For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents and have heads, and with them they do harm. 20. The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; 21. and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.
