JUDE 1:1-25

1. Jude, a bond-servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, To those who are the called, beloved in God the Father, and kept for Jesus Christ: 2. May mercy and peace and love be multiplied to you. 3. Beloved, while I was making every effort to write you about our common salvation, I felt the necessity to write to you appealing that you contend earnestly for the faith which was once for all handed down to the saints. 4. For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ. 5. Now I desire to remind you, though you know all things once for all, that the Lord, after saving a people out of the land of Egypt, subsequently destroyed those who did not believe. 6. And angels who did not keep their own domain, but abandoned their proper abode, He has kept in eternal bonds under darkness for the judgment of the great day, 7. just as Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities around them, since they in the same way as these indulged in gross immorality and went after strange flesh, are exhibited as an example in undergoing the punishment of eternal fire. 8. Yet in the same way these men, also by dreaming, defile the flesh, and reject authority, and revile angelic majesties. 9. But Michael the archangel, when he disputed with the devil and argued about the body of Moses, did not dare pronounce against him a railing judgment, but said, ``The Lord rebuke you!" 10. But these men revile the things which they do not understand; and the things which they know by instinct, like unreasoning animals, by these things they are destroyed. 11. Woe to them! For they have gone the way of Cain, and for pay they have rushed headlong into the error of Balaam, and perished in the rebellion of Korah. 12. These are the men who are hidden reefs in your love feasts when they feast with you without fear, caring for themselves; clouds without water, carried along by winds; autumn trees without fruit, doubly dead, uprooted; 13. wild waves of the sea, casting up their own shame like foam; wandering stars, for whom the black darkness has been reserved forever. 14. It was also about these men that Enoch, in the seventh generation from Adam, prophesied, saying, ``Behold, the Lord came with many thousands of His holy ones, 15. to execute judgment upon all, and to convict all the ungodly of all their ungodly deeds which they have done in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him." 16. These are grumblers, finding fault, following after their own lusts; they speak arrogantly, flattering people for the sake of gaining an advantage. 17. But you, beloved, ought to remember the words that were spoken beforehand by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ, 18. that they were saying to you, ``In the last time there will be mockers, following after their own ungodly lusts." 19. These are the ones who cause divisions, worldly-minded, devoid of the Spirit. 20. But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, 21. keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. 22. And have mercy on some, who are doubting; 23. save others, snatching them out of the fire; and on some have mercy with fear, hating even the garment polluted by the flesh. 24. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to make you stand in the presence of His glory blameless with great joy, 25. to the only God our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, dominion and authority, before all time and now and forever. Amen.

3 JOHN 1:1-15

1. The elder to the beloved Gaius, whom I love in truth. 2. Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers. 3. For I was very glad when brethren came and testified to your truth, that is, how you are walking in truth. 4. I have no greater joy than this, to hear of my children walking in the truth. 5. Beloved, you are acting faithfully in whatever you accomplish for the brethren, and especially when they are strangers; 6. and they have testified to your love before the church. You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. 7. For they went out for the sake of the Name, accepting nothing from the Gentiles. 8. Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers with the truth. 9. I wrote something to the church; but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, does not accept what we say. 10. For this reason, if I come, I will call attention to his deeds which he does, unjustly accusing us with wicked words; and not satisfied with this, he himself does not receive the brethren, either, and he forbids those who desire to do so and puts them out of the church. 11. Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. The one who does good is of God; the one who does evil has not seen God. 12. Demetrius has received a good testimony from everyone, and from the truth itself; and we add our testimony, and you know that our testimony is true. 13. I had many things to write to you, but I am not willing to write them to you with pen and ink; 14. but I hope to see you shortly, and we will speak face to face. 15. Peace be to you. The friends greet you. Greet the friends by name.

2 JOHN 1:1-13

1. The elder to the chosen lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not only I, but also all who know the truth, 2. for the sake of the truth which abides in us and will be with us forever: 3. Grace, mercy and peace will be with us, from God the Father and from Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love. 4. I was very glad to find some of your children walking in truth, just as we have received commandment to do from the Father. 5. Now I ask you, lady, not as though I were writing to you a new commandment, but the one which we have had from the beginning, that we love one another. 6. And this is love, that we walk according to His commandments. This is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, that you should walk in it. 7. For many deceivers have gone out into the world, those who do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is the deceiver and the antichrist. 8. Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what we have accomplished, but that you may receive a full reward. 9. Anyone who goes too far and does not abide in the teaching of Christ, does not have God; the one who abides in the teaching, he has both the Father and the Son. 10. If anyone comes to you and does not bring this teaching, do not receive him into your house, and do not give him a greeting; 11. for the one who gives him a greeting participates in his evil deeds. 12. Though I have many things to write to you, I do not want to do so with paper and ink; but I hope to come to you and speak face to face, so that your joy may be made full. 13. The children of your chosen sister greet you.

JOEL 1:1-20

1. The word of the LORD that came to Joel, the son of Pethuel: 2. Hear this, O elders, And listen, all inhabitants of the land. Has anything like this happened in your days Or in your fathers' days? 3. Tell your sons about it, And let your sons tell their sons, And their sons the next generation. 4. What the gnawing locust has left, the swarming locust has eaten; And what the swarming locust has left, the creeping locust has eaten; And what the creeping locust has left, the stripping locust has eaten. 5. Awake, drunkards, and weep; And wail, all you wine drinkers, On account of the sweet wine That is cut off from your mouth. 6. For a nation has invaded my land, Mighty and without number; Its teeth are the teeth of a lion, And it has the fangs of a lioness. 7. It has made my vine a waste And my fig tree splinters. It has stripped them bare and cast them away; Their branches have become white. 8. Wail like a virgin girded with sackcloth For the bridegroom of her youth. 9. The grain offering and the drink offering are cut off From the house of the LORD. The priests mourn, The ministers of the LORD. 10. The field is ruined, The land mourns; For the grain is ruined, The new wine dries up, Fresh oil fails. 11. Be ashamed, O farmers, Wail, O vinedressers, For the wheat and the barley; Because the harvest of the field is destroyed. 12. The vine dries up And the fig tree fails; The pomegranate, the palm also, and the apple tree, All the trees of the field dry up. Indeed, rejoicing dries up From the sons of men. 13. Gird yourselves with sackcloth And lament, O priests; Wail, O ministers of the altar! Come, spend the night in sackcloth O ministers of my God, For the grain offering and the drink offering Are withheld from the house of your God. 14. Consecrate a fast, Proclaim a solemn assembly; Gather the elders And all the inhabitants of the land To the house of the LORD your God, And cry out to the LORD. 15. Alas for the day! For the day of the LORD is near, And it will come as destruction from the Almighty. 16. Has not food been cut off before our eyes, Gladness and joy from the house of our God? 17. The seeds shrivel under their clods; The storehouses are desolate, The barns are torn down, For the grain is dried up. 18. How the beasts groan! The herds of cattle wander aimlessly Because there is no pasture for them; Even the flocks of sheep suffer. 19. To You, O LORD, I cry; For fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness And the flame has burned up all the trees of the field. 20. Even the beasts of the field pant for You; For the water brooks are dried up And fire has devoured the pastures of the wilderness.

HEBREWS 1:1-4

1. God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, 2. in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the world. 3. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, 4. having become as much better than the angels, as He has inherited a more excellent name than they.

2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-18

16. Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17. For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18. while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 THESSALONIANS 3:6-16

6. Now we command you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you keep away from every brother who leads an unruly life and not according to the tradition which you received from us. 7. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example, because we did not act in an undisciplined manner among you, 8. nor did we eat anyone's bread without paying for it, but with labor and hardship we kept working night and day so that we would not be a burden to any of you; 9. not because we do not have the right to this, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you, so that you would follow our example. 10. For even when we were with you, we used to give you this order: if anyone is not willing to work, then he is not to eat, either. 11. For we hear that some among you are leading an undisciplined life, doing no work at all, but acting like busybodies. 12. Now such persons we command and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ to work in quiet fashion and eat their own bread. 13. But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good. 14. If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he will be put to shame. 15. Yet do not regard him as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother. 16. Now may the Lord of peace Himself continually grant you peace in every circumstance. The Lord be with you all!

GENESIS 2:5-17

5. Now no shrub of the field was yet in the earth, and no plant of the field had yet sprouted, for the LORD God had not sent rain upon the earth, and there was no man to cultivate the ground. 6. But a mist used to rise from the earth and water the whole surface of the ground. 7. Then the LORD God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being. 8. The LORD God planted a garden toward the east, in Eden; and there He placed the man whom He had formed. 9. Out of the ground the LORD God caused to grow every tree that is pleasing to the sight and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. 10. Now a river flowed out of Eden to water the garden; and from there it divided and became four rivers. 11. The name of the first is Pishon; it flows around the whole land of Havilah, where there is gold. 12. The gold of that land is good; the bdellium and the onyx stone are there. 13. The name of the second river is Gihon; it flows around the whole land of Cush. 14. The name of the third river is Tigris; it flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates. 15. Then the LORD God took the man and put him into the garden of Eden to cultivate it and keep it. 16. The LORD God commanded the man, saying, ``From any tree of the garden you may eat freely; 17. but from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat from it you will surely die."
